At Home Study

A Home-Study option is available for students unable to participate in the classroom lectures and tastings. You receive the WSET study materials, study on your own and take the exam at the Cleveland Wine School at an agreed upon date. For those who are able to attend classes, the in-class option provides several advantages over home study. These advantages include: the increased discipline that classes bring to your studies, networking with other students, the opportunity to have questions answered by instructors, wine tasting instruction, and wine tasting practice at each class.

Intermediate Certificate At Home Study Fee: $270

Includes the WSET study materials and exam only

Advanced Certificate tasting is a critical part of the exam, both for the actual wine-tasting portion of the exam and for the short answer segment; the very thorough knowledge of and experience with the WSET's "Systematic Method" of tasting that you would gain during classes could be crucial in determining whether or not you earned enough marks to satisfy the requirements of the exam.
