WSET
American Wine School offers three courses for the London-based Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) curriculum. This London-based testing program provides standardized, high-quality wine and spirit education around the world.
Intermediate Certificate
This course provides basic information on the wines regions of the world. From labeling laws to climate, soil and grape varieties, the Intermediate Course is the best route to broaden your product knowledge. It's also perfect for non-professional wine enthusiasts who wish to acquire in-depth knowledge while obtaining a WSET Certificate.
Learning Outcomes:
Holders of the WSET level 2 Intermediate Certificate in Wine and Spirits will be able to interpret the labels of the major alcoholic beverages of the world, give basic guidance on appropriate selection and service, as well as knowing the principles of wine tasting and evaluation.
Class Schedule:
The Cleveland Wine School offers a seven (7) week course designed to prepare the candidate for the Intermediate Certificate exam. Each 2-hour class includes a full lecture followed by a tutored tasting.
Intermediate Certificate Exam:
The final exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions. Successful completion of the exam earns students the Intermediate Certificate of the WSET®.

Study guide with self-assessment questions and answers.
Specification book which lists what you need to know for the exam, learning outcomes for each segment of the course, sample exam questions and answers, and categories of wines to be tasted during the course.
Fees:
$525 for seven (7) weeks of classes and tastings, all course material, text and exam fee. Early registration (30 days before start of class) results in a 10% discount for a reduced fee of $495. At home study $275.
